Prior to joining J.S. Held in 2014, Kevin Erskine was a Project Leader for one of the nation’s leading insurance carriers for more than 25 years, and was heavily involved in complex commercial reconstruction projects throughout the U.S. As a Project Leader, Kevin played a pivotal role in managing some of the largest catastrophic events in the United States - working closely with state and federal agencies to determine the extent and amount of damage. These events included the 2001 9/11 World Trade Center catastrophe in New York City, the 2002 severe snow and ice events in Canada, the 2003 events of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, the Hurricanes of 2004 in Florida, the 2009 Southwest and Midwest region tornadoes and the 2010 New Mexico fires.
In addition to Kevin’s decades of professional experience in complex commercial reconstruction, he provides added value as he is well versed in the areas of Risk Assessment and Mitigation, Property Scope and Estimating, Builders Risk, Policy or Contract Interpretations, Project Monitoring, Business Interruption Assessment and Evaluation, Litigation and Testimony Expert, Appraisals, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Valuation of Liability Exposure and Project Budgeting.
