Hail Storm Pounds Metro Denver While 2017 Hurricane Season Is Looming
With hurricane season just around the corner, on May 8, a massive thunderstorm rolled over the Denver metro area dropping baseball-size hail all over the city. The storm is going to be Colorado’s most expensive insured catastrophe currently valued at approximately $1.4 billion, according to the Rocky Mountain Insurance Information Association. J.S. Held has a team dedicated to responding to these claims. For assistance, please contact Brian Beatty at 720.535.9605.
Are you ready for another hurricane season? National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Climate Prediction Center Forecasts an Above Average Atlantic Hurricane Season this year, with 11-17 big storms and as many as nine hurricanes. However, this season is still expected to be less active than a year ago with the number of named storms and hurricanes near historical averages. Hurricane season runs from June 1 through November 30.
