Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Caleb Sturm is an Assistant Vice President in the J.S. Held Construction Advisory practice. In this capacity, Caleb consults with owners, contractors, insurers, and attorneys in the development and resolution of disputes in the construction industry. Caleb has performed damage quantification and schedule delay analysis of numerous projects up to hundreds of millions in construction costs. Caleb and his team provide fact-based analyses to parties involved in construction disputes so that they can make well-informed decisions.

In addition to his diverse dispute and claim experience, Caleb consults with owners and contractors in the planning and execution of capital projects; focusing on strategic planning, cost & schedule controls, and contract administration. His experience with strategic-level efforts includes initial-concept development and the determination of related business justification, the definition of program scope, order of magnitude cost estimates and schedules, and the obtainment of approval and funding from executive leadership.

Before transitioning into consulting, Caleb worked in both owner and contractor capacities - employed by AGL Resources, the largest natural gas distributor in the United States; and CH2M Hill, a premiere global EPC contractor. In these roles he provided project controls for large and complex multi-year capital projects. Caleb’s diverse industry experience includes heavy industry, government, aerospace, water, commercial high rise, mining, transportation and bridges, and natural gas. He has worked on projects from all regions within the United States and Latin America.

Caleb holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Economics from Mississippi State University and a master’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Florida. In addition, he is a Certified Cost Professional (CCP) and a Certified Construction Auditor (CCA), and is an active member of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACE) and the National Association of Construction Auditors (NACA).
