Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Caleb Sturm is an Associate Director in the J.S. Held LLC Construction Advisory practice. In this capacity, Caleb consults with parties in the construction industry related to the resolution of disputes. He has performed schedule delay & disruption analyses and damage quantification related to projects up to hundreds of millions in construction costs. He and his team perform thorough and fact-based analyses which allow parties to develop well-informed decisions.
He has performed the initial review and analysis of project records in the determination of causation and the quantification of resultant damages; and is experienced in analyzing such affirmative claims from opposing parties. He is seasoned in the preparation of presentations for use in negotiations and mediations; and has provided his expert opinion as part of litigation proceedings.
In addition to his extensive dispute and claim experience, Caleb consults with owners and contractors in the planning and execution of large projects; focusing on risk management and cost & schedule controls. His capabilities include the development of baseline schedules, cost estimates, the administration of stage-gating, and the regular monitoring and management of projects.
Before transitioning into consulting, Caleb worked in both owner and contractor capacities – employed by Southern Company Gas, the largest natural gas distributor in the United States; and CH2M Hill, a premier global EPC contractor. In these roles, he provided project controls for large and complex multi-year capital programs. Caleb has participated on projects from within the United States, Latin America, and South America.
Caleb holds a master’s degree in Construction Management, a bachelor’s degree in Economics, and a bachelor’s degree of Accountancy. He holds certifications specific to the project and construction management industry. He also maintains leadership positions in both local and national industry organizations.
