Claire Fordyce, PhD, MChem (Hons), is a regulatory affairs professional with over 15 years of experience across consumer products, including cosmetics, home fragrance, and general consumer goods. She is recognized for her expertise in global cosmetics regulations across the EU, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, and ASEAN, as well as EU and UK Classification, Labeling, and Packaging (CLP) compliance.
At J.S. Held, she leads client projects and provides scientific and regulatory guidance on cosmetic and consumer product compliance. She supports formulation and labeling review to ensure alignment with applicable regulations and client standards, and oversees the development of Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSRs) and Product Information Files (PIFs).
Dr. Fordyce monitors evolving regulatory requirements and advises clients on potential impacts and implementation timelines. In addition, she contributes to business development through industry engagement, including presentations at conferences and trade events.
Dr. Fordyce holds a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh and an MChem (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of Sheffield, including a year in North America at the University of Maryland, College Park.
