Colin Boake, P. Eng., joined J.S. Held in August of 2025 as part of J.S. Held's acquisition of GHL Consultants, Ltd. He is a fire engineering professional with experience supporting performance-based design on complex projects. His expertise includes fire and smoke modeling, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and risk and reliability analysis in support of code compliance.
Throughout his career, Colin has advised on the development and implementation of performance-based fire engineering strategies, working with multidisciplinary teams to address regulatory and project-specific requirements.
As a Project Manager at J.S. Held, Colin leads coordination with project stakeholders and supports code reviews, drawing evaluations, and technical report preparation.
Colin holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering with Distinction from the University of British Columbia.
