Damian comes from a background in disaster restoration; having spent nine years in the emergency service restoration industry, specifically pertaining to the organization and recovery execution of fire, water, mold, biohazard, windstorm, flood and hurricane losses.

Prior to joining J.S. Held, Damian began as a certified IICRC technician, later taking over an operation and project management role. He handled all phases of a loss from protocol requirements to the closeout of a loss. These losses included emphasis on writing detailed scopes of work commensurate with current insurance industry practices and unit pricing, to creating a comprehensive estimate for the insured and insurance company. His hands-on experience has provided him with the ability to access all conditions and problem solve in an ever-changing environment. This experience has allowed him to understand the valuable essence of time management on a loss and the necessity of communication with all parties involved with a loss.
