David Compton’s structural engineering design and inspection experience includes the design and analysis of proposed and existing masonry, wood, steel, and reinforced concrete structures; the design and analysis of cast-in-place, pre-stressed, and post-tensioned concrete transportation structures; retrofitting existing structures for increased loading conditions; design, analysis and inspection of telecommunication towers; investigative and forensic evaluations of residential and commercial structures for subsidence damage, structural failures, design and construction defects, fire damage, water intrusion, and wind storm damage; construction inspection of masonry, wood, steel, and reinforced concrete structures; 9 years heavy civil construction experience.
