Drew Houser is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado and specializes in the forensic investigation of highway and pedestrian bridges as well as residential, commercial, and industrial structures. His background in performing structural condition assessments of buildings and bridges for a variety of private and public entities contributes to his ability to perform unbiased evaluations while still providing unparalleled client service. He takes pride in objectively finding the facts, putting the pieces together, and providing the evidence necessary to support his opinions and conclusions.

Drew is certified by the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT) as a Level II technician and is a Certified Level 2 with the Building Envelope Science Institute (BESI). He routinely utilizes rope access techniques to evaluate and test the building envelope on structures that are deemed inaccessible. Further, his unique methods of access often provide a cost-effective alternative to more traditional methods of access such as manlifts, bucket trucks, or suspended scaffolding. Regarding structural evaluations, Drew has been trained to use non-destructive testing techniques including ultrasonic thickness, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant to identify and track progressive deterioration.

Drew has extensive experience in scheduling, planning, and assessing a wide array of structure types. From evaluating structurally complex fracture critical bridges for structural integrity to investigating cause and origin of water intrusion through high end curtain wall systems, Drew’s unique knowledge base, skill set, and solution-oriented mindset have allowed him to help bring a resolution to a wide variety of contentious insurance claims including vehicle impact, structural slab failures, roof collapses, foundation movement, hail impact, water intrusion, construction defect, wind load impact, pipe breaks/leaks, bridge collapse, and fire impact.
