Gregory Lewis is a versatile engineer with extensive experience in the design of structural systems and components for high-rise, mid-rise, and low-rise buildings and forensic analysis of existing structures. Gregory has performed drafting, analysis and design work on animal exhibit structures, building frames, sculpture supports, and medical device supports for a myriad of industries including healthcare, gaming, residential and commercial. He has extensive experience in restoration and renovation of existing concrete buildings. Throughout his career, Gregory has worked closely with architects, owners, contractors, and other design engineers in the process of managing projects through the construction phase. He has performed inspections of buildings in different stages of construction and occupancy.
Gregory has performed post-damage assessments and damage repair design involving the evaluation of structures for damage from water exposure, fire, and wind often working closely with interested parties to determine the cause and deliver repair solutions. His strong design background enables him to thoroughly assess structures for loading and movement related failures and analyze all the data available in determining the extent of the damage.
Gregory served as the President of the Board of Directors of the South Florida Chapter of the Florida Structural Engineers Association, and currently serves as the secretary. His knowledge of the Florida Building Code stems from his experience as a design engineer and a forensic engineer in the state of Florida, and his participation in the Florida Structural Engineering Association.
