Jeremy Bishop, P. Eng., joined J.S. Held in August of 2026 as part of J.S. Held's acquisition of Element Forensic Engineering. He is a structural forensic engineer with more than 20 years of professional experience investigating structural failures, property damage, and construction-related issues across the residential, commercial, and institutional sectors. He has assessed damage resulting from fire, explosion, impact, wind, hail, snow, water intrusion, ground movement, and other loss events, including projects with restoration costs exceeding $100 million.
Jeremy's experience includes the design and evaluation of steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures, as well as interpreting current and historical building and fire codes. He works with municipalities and conservation authorities regarding building permits and orders to remedy unsafe buildings and has provided expert testimony during appraisal proceedings and in the Provincial Court of Ontario.
Jeremy earned a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Windsor.
