Joe Gulick specializes in appraisals, umpiring, and expert construction-based testimony (expert witness) and large damage assessments for insurance carriers, law firms, self-insured businesses, and high-net-worth individuals.

Joe has over 20 years of construction experience in roofing, insurance restoration, mitigation, new residential construction, and land development. He also has over 12 years of insurance adjustment, claims management, and large loss management experience. Joe provides consulting and expert services for clients throughout the country. He has significant experience with appraisals, mediations, and depositions. Joe consults with insurers, law firms, and individuals requiring specialized damage assessment, and dispute resolution.

Joe is the Appraisal Service Line Lead at J.S. Held. He is responsible for appraisal work throughout the country. He is involved in estimating, project management, onsite project monitoring, invoice review, code applications, appraisals, umpiring, and expert testimony. Joe has been involved in numerous major loss assignments. He has experience handling large, complex insurance losses, including those for malls, hotels, schools, apartment complexes, retail centers, nursing homes, manufacturing buildings, dwellings (single and multi-family), barns, gas stations, and other specialty types of construction.
