Jonathon Held has overseen the growth of J.S. Held from a regional two-person firm to an industry-leading global consultancy with more than 1,500 professionals who serve as trusted advisors to organizations across six continents.
During his tenure with the firm, including more than 40 years as Chief Executive Officer, Jon has advised clients on a wide variety of complex, high-stakes matters. His experience includes acting as a party-appointed dispute resolution panelist in the largest property damage claims in history, including the dispute between the insurers and stakeholders of the World Trade Center from the 9/11 terrorist attack. Jon has testified as an expert in numerous cases and has provided service to clients on five continents.
In his role as Executive Chairman, Jon guides the company’s strategic direction while developing client relationships and commercial opportunities for the firm, in addition to providing thought leadership for the insurance industry. He is a frequent speaker and has authored a number of technical expert papers on a variety of topics.
