Karla Cassidy specializes in motor vehicle collision reconstruction assessments, injury biomechanics, and analysis of slips, trips, and falls. With extensive hands-on experience—including participation as a human test subject in crash testing—Karla brings practical insight to complex collision, injury analysis, occupant motion, and seatbelt use assessment. She has provided litigation support and qualified as an expert witness in various levels of court in the fields of collision reconstruction and injury biomechanics.

Her expertise extends to presenting topics such as in vitro knee biomechanics, low-speed occupant injury risk, occupant motion & injury risk, and motor vehicle collision fraud. Karla’s extensive involvement in reconstruction spans injury risk assessment, seatbelt evaluation, occupant positioning, avoidance analysis, severity analysis, and damage consistency. Her comprehensive skill set ensures thorough and accurate analysis in all her assignments.

Karla holds a Master of Applied Science in Biomechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Honors Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
