Kurt Mogab joined J.S. Held in April of 2026 as part of J.S. Held's acquisition of CMM, LLP. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with over 15 years of experience in financial and accounting. Kurt has been involved in hundreds of legal matters and has performed litigation accounting services spanning family law proceedings and civil and commercial disputes. He has participated in numerous settlement negotiations and testified in court on numerous occasions.
Prior to joining J.S. Held, Kurt joined CMM in 2011 to provide litigation support for family law matters, civil lawsuits, and a variety of other contested financial matters. He has prepared and contributed to the preparation of hundreds of reports involving gross cash flow calculations, marital standard-of-living analyses, misappropriation of assets, reimbursement claims, professional goodwill, and equity compensation. He frequently assists counsel in determining the character of assets by applying case law and tracing principles. In addition, he has prepared more than 100 appraisals of businesses and professional practices for use in business litigation, estate planning, and family law matters. Prior to this, he worked at a boutique accounting firm specializing in tax and advisory services, where he prepared complex income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and estates and trusts.
Kurt graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate Investment from California State University, Northridge. He has addressed audiences of accountants and attorneys on litigation support topics in connection with continuing education seminars for business professionals and Certified Public Accountants.
