Matt has more than two-decades of experience in the restoration industry as a mitigation and restoration contractor as well as a commercial and residential large loss staff adjuster. Matt’s insurance background consists of residential and commercial large loss and multiperil. As an adjuster, Matt honed his estimating skills on a range of complex losses using Time & Material, Construction Cost Estimating, Xactimate and Symbility’s Corelogic. During his time handling California wildfires, Matt managed over $330M in reserves.

As a restoration contractor, Matt has estimated and project managed losses across the nation. During his first major catastrophe, Matt spent three months on the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina, helping restore a power plant, mall, radio station, several hotels, and countless homes. Matt also served four years as national large loss project manager and coordinator helping policyholders restore their organizations with as little of downtime as possible. Matt has extensive knowledge in project management and estimating for losses with retail spaces, hotels, churches, schools, manufacturing facilities, and apartment complexes. Matt has worked nearly every hurricane since 2005, countless tornado outbreaks, and other severe weather across the nation.

Matt Herndon is involved in estimating, project management, and onsite project monitoring. He has extensive involvement in numerous major loss assignments throughout the Unites States and has consulted on large complex insurance losses, including hotels, churches, schools, and industrial space.
