Summary of Experience:
Matthew Staffeld has extensive experience and training in the structural inspection and analysis of existing residential and commercial buildings. Responsibilities have included the cause and origin analysis of structural failures, foundation failures, building envelope failures, hail and wind damage assessment, water source identification, and construction compliance with building codes, and the preparation of reports based on the findings of the investigations for over 1,000 distressed properties. Matthew has a background in construction inspections on projects ranging from single-family residences to large, multi-story commercial buildings. He utilizes this knowledge and experience to investigate potential building component failures in existing buildings.
Matthew has experience with subsurface investigations of residential, municipal, and commercial environments, subsurface construction monitoring, and materials testing. Matthew is well-versed in structural/geotechnical remediation design, such as subsurface grouting and underpinning/helical design.
Matthew has also provided litigation support and deposition testimony regarding structural and geotechnical related damage to structures.
