J.S. Held was called in to assist with developing a scope of repair. After conducting a thorough appraisal of the loss, our advice was to limit the removal to the affected area by blocking off the unaffected raceway sections and only performing work in the affected areas.
Our valuation of the damage differed from the opposing party’s by almost $5M. Following a lengthy process involving multiple engineers, cost consultants, and attorneys, the matter was settled at a value within $600k of our valuation, representing potential savings to our client of more than $4M.
