J.S. Held was retained by the Owner’s Carrier to review damage and costs sustained from water damage to a high-rise hotel building during the course of construction.
The resort and multiple towers were open at the time of the water event and a grand opening was scheduled with a firm deadline. Repairs included sending construction personnel to Asia to review and confirm acceptability of replacement casework prior to shipping to the site in order to meet the required deadlines.
J.S. Held was instrumental in separating repair costs from construction completion and punch list items.
