Determining Equipment Remediation Actions

Our team was retained on virtually every large World Trade Center IT equipment claim, ranging from $10 million - $300 million for the IT portion. Based on the team’s evaluation, the scope of damage required, corrective action, comparable replacement equipment, and repair options were determined.

In many cases, it was proved to the insureds that the equipment was not damaged and proved that the claimed replacement equipment included upgrades, which saved clients hundreds of millions of dollars. In addition, our team helped several insureds develop plans to mitigate the operational impact caused by downed or to-be-transferred IT equipment.
