Brian McCartin has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry and 14 years of specific experience related to structural repairs due to fire, water, collapse, man-made and natural disasters, as well as mold and asbestos remediation and other insurance related damages in the residential, commercial, and academic sectors.
During his professional career, Brian has held increasingly responsible positions including opening offices in the New England market for several large national disaster restoration companies as Regional Director and Eastern General Manager. In this capacity, his responsibilities include the day-to-day operations of an office, overall financial management of the regional office, oversee and supervise project management, operations management, administrative personnel, and sales and marketing. Detailed financial analysis and responsibilities include profit and loss analysis, revenue review, all costs including labor costs, subcontractor costs, material costs, vendor costs, overhead, taxes and insurance, as well account receivables, profitability costs and percentage, and financials to the gross and net profits weekly review.
In addition, Brian’s work experience includes providing catastrophic emergency response on projects such as Hurricane Sandy, Hurricane Irene, the Joplin tornadoes, Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Rita, Hurricane Ivan, tornadoes in the Southeastern part of the United States, and the Mississippi River Valley flooding. Brian is an active participant in catastrophe response and extends his expert services encompassing all aspects of the immediate recovery process.
