Christy Ball has more than 35 years of professional experience in the field of construction consultation and project management. Over the course of her career, Christy has supervised staff on large projects, provided estimates for sizeable property damage, and provided consultation on a variety of healthcare, education, industrial and multi-family residential projects.
Since the 2005 Hurricane season, Christy has worked as a team leader for J. S. Held and supervised staff in preparing property damage estimates, scopes of loss, project schedules and invoice review for varied types of properties including commercial, industrial, hospitality and healthcare. This included full time project monitoring of several loss sites on losses ranging from $25 Million to more than $350 Million.
Prior to joining J.S. Held, Christy was the Director of Corporate Development, Senior Consultant, and Estimator and Project Manager at E.G.P. and Associates. Christy’s major work included building reconstruction cost for the insurance industry while working directly with adjusters on scope of repairs and detail cost estimates. Christy’s area of expertise includes the preparation of guaranteed detailed loss estimates, construction management, builder’s risk and business interruption loss management, and expert testimony in litigation and mediation. Through additional work experience, Christy also has extensive knowledge in material purchasing, scheduling and planning, coordination of subcontractors, foundation failure, mold, and wood destroying insect infestation.
