David Loucado has worked in the residential and commercial construction industry for more than 40 years, with heavy specialization in roofing and waterproofing. In the commercial arena, Dave has considerable expertise with built-up roofing (BUR), modified bitumen systems, single-ply systems and spray polyurethane foam (SPF) applications. On the residential end, he has collaborated with high-end homeowners, apartment complex managers and large HOAs to oversee specialized projects involving clay or concrete tiles, composition shingles and simulated shake & shingle applications. Dave has also worked in commercial “design build” construction, planning and managing modernization, tenant improvements and infrastructure projects for a variety of clients from retail to aerospace.
Dave has been a building consultant for well over a decade. His responsibilities include providing damage evaluations, scheduling information and estimating value of loss. With strong emphasis on catastrophe site consulting and the management of large loss projects, his contributions to the J.S. Held team have been highlighted by numerous major assignments during multiple hurricane, tornado and hailstorm events across the U.S. David has often been selected to provide appraisal and umpire services to assist in dispute resolution.
