Federico’s professional experience is divided into three major stages. First, working for ICA (Ingenieros Civiles Asociados) from 1980 to 1990, the largest construction firm in Mexico. He started working as a junior analyst and ended as senior construction manager, escalating his positions within the firm by performing different roles in several types of construction matters: dams, roads, pipelines, bridges, subways, and buildings. Federico conducted construction claims in different locations, from Mexico to Central and South America and the United States.

The second stage, was working for Grupo Posadas from 1990 to 2000 as an Investment Director and Project and Technical Services Director. Federico was responsible for owned properties, hotel management and renovations, and the new construction of Posadas owned and partially owned hotels. He designed the Fiesta Americana and Fiesta Inn hotels construction and FF&E specifications books, managed building insurances, maintained hotel development and design timelines, and acted as a general contractor role for some new hotels including Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos.

Federico also worked for some Mexican and Spanish construction companies as an associated director, partner, and consultant for specific projects in commercial centers, high end condos, tourism developments, roads, mining, railroads, commercial buildings, and power stations and lines.

As of May 2017, Federico has worked as a Technical Director for Comando Ingenieria, now known as Comando a part of J.S. Held, attending several cases and claims associated with catastrophic events such as earthquakes, fires, floods, slope falls, hurricanes.
