Jeff Green joins J.S. Held with over 12 years of experience as an expert in forensic damage assessment, analysis and testing of roofing, siding and other building components. Jeff gained valuable and extensive experience while working as the Lab Manager for Haag Engineering Company. During his tenure at Haag, Jeff led the lab and team to an ISO 17025 laboratory, accreditation by the International Accreditation Services (IAS).
Jeff has performed forensic testing on thousands of roofing and building component samples throughout the US for engineers, consultants, attorneys, adjusters, architects, building owners, contractors, and manufacturers. He has extensive knowledge of roofing materials, installation procedures and test standards and has performed developmental testing for industry manufacturers to establish hail warranties and solve code-related issues.
Jeff is a certified Level 1 Infrared Thermographer and Haag Certified Inspector for Residential, Commercial and Wind Damage. He is an active member of the Roof Consultants Institute (RCI) and is working towards achieving the Registered Roofing Consultant Certification.
Jeff assisted with the development of numerous education and seminar courses for Haag’s Certified Inspector Programs. He is a contributing author for multiple technical publications about roofing and building materials. He also helped develop several patented tools used in the roofing and insurance industries today, such as the field assessment guides, Haag Shingle Gauges, and the Haag Panel and Membrane Gauge.
