Jeffrey E. Anderson is a licensed architect who specializes in the forensic evaluation of existing buildings to analyze moisture intrusion, weather-related damage, water loss/freeze failures, construction defects, or other forms of post-construction distress. Jeff’s expertise is focused on insurance claim analysis, construction defect litigation, or direct engagement by the property owner to evaluate distress. Jeff’s detail-oriented conclusions are founded on a thorough evaluation of the site conditions, research, facts, and experience. Jeff has observed or directed thousands of intrusive test cuts into building systems to closely-evaluate low and steep-slope roof coverings, building envelope construction, exterior wall claddings, moisture management assemblies, and window and door penetrations. Experience working for civil and geotechnical engineers also provided Jeff with specialized knowledge of asphalt and concrete pavements, exterior concrete flatwork, retaining walls, and grading and drainage.
Prior to his forensic specialty, Jeff acted as the project architect for 1 to 30 acre commercial developments. As the prime design team member, Jeff coordinated all aspects of the civil and building design documents and acted as the owner’s representative to guide undeveloped land through the planning/zoning, design, bid, construction, and occupancy processes. Jeff’s construction administration experience includes change orders, payment applications, certificates of completion, and punch list/warranty work. Jeff has over 20 years of experience in the field.
