Summary of Experience:
Dan’l Moulton has extensive experience in the structural engineering field. His career has been balanced with both design and inspection of new structures as well as the assessment of existing structures. This includes design and inspection of numerous single and multi-story buildings. He has managed, coordinated, designed and analyzed steel frame, reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, wood, masonry, and precast structures.
Since 2005, Dan’l has been the Principal Engineer-of-Record for numerous projects located throughout the United States as well as the design engineer for projects located in the Caribbean, Central America, and Eastern Europe. He has supervised or served as project manager on several large projects to include coordinating the structural design, analysis, construction document production and review, shop drawing review, and construction inspections. Structure types have included single-family residential, multi-story, multi-family, hotels, educational and recreational facilities, commercial and big box, hospital, public/government facilities, and vehicular and pedestrian bridges. In addition to his own design work, Dan’l also provides peer review services to local design firms.
Dan’l also has geotechnical-structural experience including the assessment and remediation of structures having settlement related damage. These projects include numerous sinkhole investigations and structural assessments, cause-and-origin investigations and other forensic structural evaluations. He has performed additional forensic investigations including wind damage, hail damage, construction/design failure, water intrusion, moisture/mold assessments.
