Joslyn Hopmayer has over 16 years of experience with mechanical equipment evaluations and forensics in the field of mechanical engineering. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University. Joslyn is a licensed professional engineer.
Ms. Hopmayer has extensive experience in investigations involving property loss, builder’s risk, construction defects and product liability claims. She has assessed flood, freeze, fire, and hail related damage and conducted post-disaster analysis of mechanical equipment and systems.
Ms. Hopmayer has extensive knowledge of accident reconstruction cases involving motor vehicle accidents, slip, trip, and falls and fall protection equipment, as well as applied principles of safety engineering in the areas of rough terrain forklift operator egress and mining equipment.
As a licensed engineer, Ms. Hopmayer has performed product testing and analysis for both development of new products and product failures. This is including: medical devices, ladders, bicycles, propane and gas heaters, ballistics, and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).
She has worked with the International and Local Mechanical Plumbing building codes, ASTM, ASME, ANSI, and Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
