Catherine Hinds has over eight years of experience in the insurance and forensics industry. Prior to joining J.S. Held in 2018, Catherine worked as a Catastrophe Adjuster. In this role, she was deployed to impacted areas directly after storms, some prior to the areas having been secured. She has predominantly worked on flood and water damage claims for commercial, educational, government, industrial, and residential losses. Her expertise was sought out during multiple major hurricanes, that included Hurricane Sandy, Harvey, Irma, Florence, and most recently, Hurricane Michael. Catherine has been licensed as an adjuster in the State of Texas and the State of Florida. She has also been certified by FEMA through the National Flood Insurance Program as a mentor. Catherine is also licensed by the FAA to fly a drone for inspections
Currently attending The University of North Texas for her second degree, with an expected Bachelor of Science degree in Integrative Studies, she is set to graduate in May of 2019.
With a plethora of experience in scoping losses, assessing mitigation efforts, writing estimates, preparing reports, performing invoice/estimate reviews and communicating with clients regarding the details of projects, Catherine continues to provide great value as an asset to the team.
