Catherine Hinds has over eight years of experience in the insurance and forensics industry. Catherine has predominantly worked on flood and water damage claims, with additional experience on residential losses. Catherine has been licensed as an adjuster in the State of Texas and the State of Florida. She has also been certified by FEMA through the National Flood Insurance Program as a mentor.
Prior to joining J.S. Held in 2018, Catherine worked as a catastrophe adjuster for Pilot Catastrophe Services. In this role, she was deployed to impacted areas directly after storms, prior to some areas having been secured. Some of the recent major events she worked through include Hurricane Sandy, Hurricane Harvey, and Hurricane Irma. She also continued to assist in smaller flooding events nationally.
Catherine has a plethora of experience in scoping losses, assessing mitigation efforts, writing estimates, preparing reports, and communicating with clients regarding the details of projects. Catherine is currently attending The University of North Texas for her second degree, with an expected Bachelor of Science degree in Integrative Studies. She is set to graduate in December of 2018. With her extensive experience and ongoing education, Catherine is a genuine asset in her field of concentration.
