Summary of Experience:
Matthew Depin’s training, experience, and practice includes structural engineering, forensic investigations, demolition support, and historic restoration. Matthew is proficient with finite element structural analysis programs in the evaluation of building characteristics and response.
Within the structural engineering arena, Matthew has performed design, analysis and evaluation of concrete, masonry, wood, and steel structures. His design responsibilities have included Insulating Concrete Forms (ICF) wall design, hollow core slab structures, structural steel roof systems, foundation stabilization and restoration.
Regarding structural restoration, Matthew has been involved with the assessment and restoration of structures damaged by fire, wind, subsurface, water intrusion, and impact damage. Regarding forensic engineering, Matthew Depin has performed cause and origin investigations of water damage, wind damage, roof failures, construction failures, and damage due to subsurface mechanisms.
