Munther S. Shamieh is a national expert in surety losses on complex files that consist of multiple projects. He is retained by major sureties throughout the United States and internationally to assist in evaluating loss mitigation techniques, devising strategies to address defaults, preparing costs to complete information, analyzing performance and payment bond claims, identifying defenses, preparing affirmative claims, and assessing construction risks and exposures. Munther has 25 years of commercial construction experience, construction management and administration, cost control and budgeting, scheduling, contract buy-outs and negotiations, and litigation support. Munther has been involved in numerous types of projects in the United States, Latin America and the Middle East including schools, higher education buildings, health care facilities, military installations, U.S government buildings, high-rise and mid-rise buildings, hotels, highways, roadways, bridges, drainage channels, underground utilities, border station facilities, hydro-electric power plants, dams, wastewater treatment plants, air operation towers, and airports terminals.
Munther has a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering with a focus on Construction Engineering and Project Management from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a LEED® Accredited Professional.
