Summary of Experience:
Knowledge of the principles and practices of management as applied specifically to governmental administration and operations. Knowledge of budgetary procedures and preparations. Knowledge of impact fees and fee accounting systems. General knowledge of the administration of state and local ordinances and enforcement. Knowledge of building code administration, flood plain management, contractor licensing, and the construction industry as related to building department activities including knowledge of federal rules and regulations governing due process and equal protection.
Ability to interpret drawings, diagrams, specifications, codes and regulations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the County Commissioners, County employees, business partners, other governmental agencies, and the public; often in stressful situations. Ability to set a vision for the future. Ability to build a strong leadership team that is capable of implementing the vision and goals of the County. Ability to analyze and solve administrative problems. Ability to prepare and analyze operating procedures and administrative reports.
