Training Services

J.S. Held offers training in over 40 environmental and safety fields through our specialized Training Services Group. Our group is degreed, certified, and experienced in their fields, with Ph.D.’s in education and certified environmental trainers, instructional technologists, fire services instructors, and industrial hygienists. Trainings can be conducted onsite at individual facilities, at one of our own conveniently located training centers, or at a client’s preferred location.

J.S. Held does not take a “one size fits all” approach to our training curriculum. Each program is tailored to the unique requirements of the individual facilities, the local and governmental regulations they face, and their specific training needs. J.S. Held has dedicated full time instructors that are equally experienced in training both large and small groups of personnel. Our training team can provide all of the requisite equipment, as well as demonstrate with client-provided equipment for scheduled trainings.

Our professional training team assists clients in planning and conducting reality-based table top or full scale exercises designed to ensure compliance with Oil Spill Response Organizations (OSRO), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, and other certification requirements. Upon the satisfactory culmination of each course, we provide all necessary documentation required by those organizations
